Scope (Boundary)
This project focuses on the development of a modular web-based honeypot framework designed to simulate vulnerable web environments and capture malicious activities within a controlled infrastructure.
The framework primarily targets common web application attack vectors, particularly Information Disclosure and SQL Injection vulnerabilities.
WiseTrap enables the collection and analysis of attack-related data such as malicious requests, payloads, attacker interaction patterns, and intrusion attempts.
The system also provides centralized logging, monitoring dashboards, attack reporting features, and structured threat analysis mechanisms intended to support cybersecurity research and defensive analysis.
The framework is designed for cybersecurity researchers, students, and security professionals interested in studying attacker behavior and web-based exploitation techniques.
However, the project does not aim to replace enterprise-grade SIEM systems, commercial threat intelligence platforms, or large-scale network monitoring solutions.
Instead, the primary focus of the framework is cybersecurity research, attack simulation, and honeypot-based threat monitoring within web application environments.
