Overview

This chapter describes the methodology used during the analysis, design, and development of the WiseTrap Honeypot Framework.

The development process follows a structured software engineering approach based on Agile principles and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The methodology was selected to ensure flexibility, scalability, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

This chapter also presents the feasibility study conducted before system implementation, including technical, operational, and economic feasibility analysis. In addition, it explains the development workflow, implementation process, and system requirements necessary for building and deploying the framework.

The purpose of this methodology is to ensure that the proposed system satisfies cybersecurity research requirements while maintaining usability, extensibility, and efficient system performance.
